| Florida Week: Wednesday Practice Report | ||||
|
ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs held a two-hour practice Wednesday as they continued preparations for their upcoming Southeastern Conference clash with ninth-ranked Florida. | ||||

The Bulldogs (6-2, 3-2 SEC) face the Gators (6-1, 4-1 SEC) Saturday in Jacksonville, and Georgia coach Mark Richt said his team had an outstanding practice. "We made some nice plays on both offense and defense in our one-minute drill," said Richt. "We were competitive on both sides of the ball. A.J. (Bryant) made a nice catch for a score from (Matthew) Stafford." With Georgia on fall break for the remainder of the week, Richt was asked if the team's Thursday routine would be any different. "We'll lift at 1 p.m., then have special teams meetings followed by a walk through, segment meetings and then our normal Thursday practice," said Richt. "It won't be much different." Senior punter Gordon Ely-Kelso kicked a few field goals in practice but Richt said junior Andy Bailey remains the starting place-kicker. "(Andy) Bailey is our kicker," said Richt. "You have to have a second team guy and that's Gordon. We want to have a guy with some experience, and he has that." |
