ATHENS - Josh Kendall's news and notes from Georgia's fall practices.

FOR STARTERS: Senior Joe Tereshinski took more than 70 percent of the first-team snaps at Monday’s practice, but he’s not yet certain he’ll start against Vanderbilt, he said.

Backup Matthew Stafford is, though.

“I’m sure come Saturday (Tereshinski) will be the man, and if I’m called upon, I’ll be ready,” Stafford said.

Richt has yet to commit to a starting quarterback to the media.

Tereshinski had three turnovers in Saturday’s loss to Tennessee.

PRACTICE REPORT: Georgia practiced for more than 90 minutes Monday afternoon, starting with a conditioning period and then working on the first part of the Vanderbilt game plan.

Safety Donavon Baldwin was carted off the field late in the practice with ice on his right knee. The extent of his injury is unknown.
