ATHENS ­ Georgia redshirt freshman QB Joe Cox was named the SEC Freshman of the Week as well as the Sporting News College Football Player of the Week on Monday.

Joe Cox entered Saturday¹s game against Colorado with 3:09 remaining in the third quarter and rallied the Bulldogs from a 13-0 deficit to knock off the Buffaloes 14-13. He finished the game 10 of 13 passing for 154 yards and two touchdowns. It was a 20-yard strike to Martrez Milner with :46 on the clock that tied the game at 13-13 before the extra point sealed the victory for Georgia.

The Charlotte, N.C., native is 13 of 18 on the year for 201 yards, two TDs and one INT.
