Colorado Week: Wednesday Practice Report

Posted Sep 20, 2006

ATHENS - Ninth-ranked Georgia continued preparations for its upcoming game with Colorado by holding a two-hour workout Wednesday.

The Bulldogs (3-0) enjoyed a good, crisp practice, according to head coach Mark Richt who met with the media following the workout. He provided an injury update on a few of Georgia's receivers and also commented on the play of the running backs and fullbacks this season.

"Mario (Raley) is doubtful right now, and I'd say Mikey (Henderson) and Mohamed (Massaquoi) are probable," said Richt. "We'll see if the swelling goes down with Mario, and I'd say Mikey and Mohamed are not 100 percent, but we'll see. Overall, our receivers are coming along really well. We're rolling them in there and I feel comfortable with any one of them in the game.

"We've gotten outstanding pass protection from our backs, it's nice to know our tailbacks and fullbacks know how to block and are doing a great job."

When asked about Georgia's run-pass ratio this season, Richt said the game situation has dictated a lot of times what plays are called.

"We'll run more if we have the lead to work the clock, but we try to be balanced," said Richt. "We've run a lot in the second half this season because we've had the lead."
