Tereshinski was Georgia's only quarterback with experence coming into fall camp. He was also the number one quarterback on the depth chart from the day D.J. Shockley left. Tereshinski is a senior from Athens and his start against Western Kentucky will be his second ever. He also started last season against Florida - a game the Bulldogs dropped 14-10.
"Joe T has done a great job of competing and performing," Richt said. "He held off these young bucks."
Richt said Joe Cox was the number two quarterback in the depth chart, and said that Blake Bares and Matthew Stafford were co-number threes. Richt indicated that Barnes' knee injury in the spring made it difficult for him to beat out the other quarterbacks. Richt also intidacted that Stafford made strides during camp, but the other quarterbacks were "more prepaired" for winning the job.
