ATHENS - Josh Kendall's news and notes from Georgia's 11th day of fall camp.

TERRIBLE TOWEL TWO?: Taking inspiration from the famous Terrible Towels waved by Pittsburgh Steelers fans, Richt is hoping to start a similar tradition at Georgia.

The Athletic Association will hand out free “I’m Georgia” towels at Picture Day on Saturday and then put the towels up for sale after that. Richt hopes fans will wave the towels at crucial points of games.

“We want a lot of noise to go along with it,” he said.

Proceeds from the sale of the towels will go to Camp Sunshine, a Northeast Georgia based camp for children with cancer.

THIS AND THAT: Defensive end Marcus Howard, who nursed an offseason arm injury, now has a right quad injury that leaves him with only about 85 percent of his normal strength in his right leg. He expects to be fully healthy by the season-opener. … Georgia held a kicking scrimmage at Sanford Stadium on Thursday. The Bulldogs won’t name a holder or snapper until next week, Richt said. … Wide receiver Tony Wilson could miss another week due to a shoulder injury.
