ATHENS - Georgia’s quarterback lineup could change this afternoon, after the Bulldogs hold their first scrimmage of the fall, but there’s no guarantee it will, Coach Mark Richt said.

“There’s no guarantee that we’re going to say we’re only going to work three now or we’re only going to work two now,” he said. “The depth chart may move afterward and it may not move.”

The order now is based on seniority, with senior Joe Tereshinski first followed by sophomore Blake Barnes, redshirt freshman Joe Cox and true freshman Matthew Stafford. Those four will get as equal a number of snaps as possible today, Richt said.

The scrimmage will carry at least three times the weight of a regular practice, Richt said.

“They know this is very crucial for trying to pare it down a little bit,” he said.
