ATHENS – Asher Allen spoke with Dean Legge for a short time about Georgia’s spring practices.

Dean Legge: How has your spring been so far?

Asher Allen: It’s been going real well. Practice-wise, things are intense, as you would expect. School – you have to balance your schedule a lot, which is really the big thing. I feel real comfortable out here.

How about the speed of the game – is that what you have expected so far?

You know that everyone is bigger and faster – everyone is athletic. Speed of the game is going to come with that. I feel like I am catching on now. It feels like things are slowing down now. I know I have just started, but I feel like I can do a lot, and I feel real good out here.

Coach Richt has mentioned you at least three or four times, and considering how many people are out here right now – does that make you feel good considering how young you are?

Sure, but hopefully Coach Richt will see what he likes more often. I am always – I am just who I am. I am going to go out there and play every down the way I play. I am just glad that he approves of the way I am playing out there. I would like to make more plays, and that I really what I am trying to do.

What are you missing in high school right now?

Roaming around the hallways…

C-wing, B-wing intersections…

Yeah, C-wing, standing there. I would be running track right now, but I am running enough out here now. I am going back for graduation, so I won’t miss that. I don’t know about prom – I will go back for the more important things.
