ATHENS - Georgia continued spring football workouts on Monday for an hour-and-a-half at the Woodruff practice fields.

The Bulldogs are now over half way through the spring season, with the conclusion set for April 8 and the annual G-Day game in Sanford Stadium.

“Today was short and sweet,” said head coach Mark Richt. “Looking at the film from (the scrimmage) this weekend I was pleased with a lot of the names I mentioned. Jarvis Jackson and Tony Taylor played real good. And I didn’t mention Marcus Howard, but he played good after he wasn’t sure he would even practice.

“Nick Jones has had a good spring. He’s the most consistent lineman we have right now. Martrez (Milner) had a nice catch, and Coleman Watson had a couple of nice catches,” Richt said.

Richt also said that cornerback-turned-receiver Mikey Henderson ended Monday’s practice with a sore hamstring, but nothing serious enough to hold him out of the entire spring.

“Mikey thought it might get ready to pull. He said last week he felt like it was tightening up a little, but he did make some nice plays today before it happened,” said Richt.
