It was practice No. 3 of 15 of spring drills, which concludes with the annual G-Day Game on April 8 in Sanford Stadium.
“We had a lot of good physical contact today,” said head coach Mark Richt. “But the defense beat up on the offense pretty good. I think they’re just tougher than the offense right now.
“Jarvis Jackson had a good day. He was in perfect position, striking people on the rise and running through them. He looked really sharp,” Richt said.
Richt was asked to assess the quarterbacks following practice, but again he praised the defense for a good day.
“The protection was so poor, we just couldn’t judge anything. I know Kade (Weston) broke free a few times,” said Richt.
