Bailey definitely out 2006 season

Posted Mar 8, 2006

ATHENS – Georgia wide receiver Sean Bailey has decided definitely to sit out the 2006 season.

Sean Bailey made his decision after January surgery to repair the knee ligament he tore during Sugar Bowl practices in December.

“I’ve talked to people who have torn their ACL, and they just said that’s the one thing you don’t want to rush back,” he said. “With it being my senior year, I want to come in and be able to put my best foot forward.”

Bailey played as a true freshman so he can redshirt this season and play in 2007. He would have been the team’s second-leading returner at wide receiver after catching 18 passes for 362 yards last season.
