Summer camp drove Moreno to Athens

ATHENS - Running back Knowshon Moreno got a better look at Georgia than Na Derris Ward ever did before deciding he wanted to attend school in Athens. Ward participated in the Bulldogs’ summer football camp between his junior and senior seasons.

“He competed as hard as anybody we’ve ever had at a camp,” Richt said of Knowshon Moreno. “Even I was wondering, ‘Why are we working these guys so hard? We’re going to chase them away.’ He never flinched, and he somehow fell in love with Georgia in that time frame.”
