Georgia only entertained one official visitor on their Athens campus this weekend and that was big time safety Reshad Jones. Arguably the top uncommitted prospect in the Peach State, Jones entered the visit with LSU as his leader but left the Classic City with the Dawgs back in front.

“It went very good. I’d give it a 9 and a half. Georgia is the leader now,” Reshad Jones said.

The Atlanta star said he enjoyed everything about the trip.

“The coaching staff, the atmosphere and the players. I liked it all.”

What stuck Georgia back in front?

“Just feeling at home put them back in front. The coaching staff and the fans make me feel like I belong there. I can go anywhere and compete and play early but it’s nothing like playing for the home school.”

Bulldog DB Bryan Evans hosted Jones on the visit.

“He’s real cool. We hung out downtown for a little bit and went to the dorms and had fun.”

Coach Richt had a few words for Reshad before he left.

“He said he’d really be happy to get me in and that they wanted me real bad.”

One of the people helping him to make his decision will be his grandmother and she accompanied him on the trip.

“My grandma loved it. She likes Coach Richt because he’s a Christian guy. She just wants the best for me.”

Reshad said he doesn’t anticipate making a commitment before signing day.

“I’m going to commit on Wednesday at my school.”
