ATHENS - University of Georgia redshirt freshman linebacker Dannell Ellerbe has been suspended indefinitely from the Bulldog football team by head coach Mark Richt following an early Wednesday auto accident and resulting alcohol-related charges.

"Dannell has been suspended indefinitely from all team-related activities," said Richt. "His future with the team is undecided at this point and will be determined at a later date."

A native of Hamlet, N.C., Dannell Ellerbe played in 10 games for the Bulldogs this past season as a backup linebacker. He recorded 15 tackles.
