Sugar Bowl: 12/30 Practice Report

Posted Dec 30, 2005

ATLANTA - Georgia held another two-hour workout at St. Pius High School on Friday in preparation for the Jan. 2 Sugar Bowl against West Virginia. The Bulldogs practiced in helmets and shoulder pads and have just two more workouts before Monday’s game.

“We had much better tempo today,” said head coach Mark Richt. “We had a few scraps and that was good. It looks like they are about ready to play someone else.”

On Friday afternoon the team will visit the Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta and may also attend the Peach Bowl on Friday night.

The Bulldogs practice again early Saturday morning. The format for Saturday’s workout will be a normal Thursday practice from the regular-season schedule.

The Sugar Bowl will be televised live on ABC at 8:37 p.m. ET on Jan. 2.
