Suger Bowl: 12/29 Practice Report

ATLANTA - Georgia held its final full-pads practice of the 2005 season with a two-hour workout on Thursday at St. Pius High School.

The Bulldogs are preparing to face West Virginia in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2 at the Georgia Dome. It will be the first meeting between the two teams in school history.

Later on Thursday the Bulldogs will be hosted for dinner by Maggiano's Little Italy in Atlanta.

"Today was not bad," said head coach Mark Richt. "It's our last full pads practice of the week and I thought overall it was a pretty good effort. Right now we're making sure we are in good condition. I'm not sure right now we're in the condition we need to be in."

On Friday the team will have an opportunity to visit the Georgia Aquarium following its morning practice. In the evening the Bulldogs may also attend the Peach Bowl.

The Sugar Bowl will be televised live on ABC at 8:37 p.m. ET on Jan. 2.
