Dawgs are SEC Champs: Three keys revisited Premium Story

Posted Dec 4, 2005

Josh Kendall reviews the three keys to Georgia's win over LSU.

Don’t turn the ball over

Georgia didn’t turn the ball over once, and got two takeaways from LSU. DeMario Minter intercepted a first half pass to set up a touchdown drive, and Tim Jennings intercepted a second half pass and returned it for a score to seal the win.

Tackle, tackle, tackle

LSU gained 230 yards, its lowest offensive output of the season. The Tigers’ backs and receivers rarely, if ever, got away from the first tackler.

Catch passes

Junior receiver Sean Bailey made up for all his regular season drops by catching two touchdown passes in the first half. His second catch was a beauty, as he spun to his left, caught the ball and got one foot down in the end zone.
