is a four prospect and one of the
Top 5 running backs in the South
. He took an unofficial visit to
Georgia
this weekend for the Bulldogs' game against
Auburn
. While Brown has been to Georgia before for games, this one was something special.
"Man, it was nice," said Brown. "The Dawg Walk stood out this week. I've been through it before, but it wasn't anything like it was this week. Everyone knew who you were and had signs and everything."
Brown enjoyed the competitiveness of the game and caught himself watching the backs on both sides of the field.
"It was really a good game.
Kenny Irons
had a great game, and the Georgia backs had a great game. I found myself rooting for the running backs," Brown added with a laugh.
Georgia has made up a lot of ground on Brown after not seeming to be in the hunt during the summer. What has changed?
"The recruiting class they are bringing in is deep. They potentially have a lot of really good players. I've been up there a lot and the atmosphere is real nice. It's a home state thing. I can get up there more than I can get to some of the other schools."
Speaking of the other schools on Brown's list,
Florida State
and
Michigan
are also right in the thick of things.
"I love the atmosphere at Florida State. It's real laid back. There's football, but then there's a life away from football. They told me I can be a
Willie Reid
type of player for them. I'm cool with that. I think I can catch the ball a little bit too," joked Brown.
"I've seen Georgia and Florida State a lot; I want to go see Michigan too, and see what it's like at a school not around here. I'm going on my official visit to Michigan this weekend, and I have my visit to Georgia set up on December 9th."
Brown is planning to graduate in December and enroll at the school of his choice in January. The Countdown to Signing Day will come early for Mr. Brown.
