The Bulldogs practiced twice last week as they were idle over the weekend. Georgia is ranked No. 9 in the nation and boasts an overall record of 7-1 and an SEC mark of 5-1. Auburn defeated Kentucky 49-27 last Saturday, improving to 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the SEC.
"It was good to get back to work," said Georgia coach Mark Richt, whose team last practiced on Wednesday. "We got a lot of good work done today. We're expecting a super physical game with Auburn, and that's the way we practiced."
Richt announced the captains for Saturday's game will be quarterback D.J. Shockley, defensive lineman Kedric Golston, and defensive backs Tim Jennings and Greg Blue.
Saturday's game in Athens will kick off at 7:45 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN.
