| Florida Week: Wednesday Practice Report | ||||
ATHENS - The fourth-ranked Georgia football team held a 90-minute workout Wednesday in preparation for the upcoming Southeastern Conference clash with No. 16 Florida. | ||||
The Bulldogs (7-0, 5-0 SEC) face the Gators (5-2, 3-2 SEC) in Jacksonville Saturday, and Georgia coach Mark Richt said the Bulldogs are close to being ready. "We had a great practice today with beautiful weather and about all there is left to do is play," said Richt. When the topic turned to playing opportunities for reserves and the depth on the squad, Richt said the staff values every player and treats them with respect. "We play the best players and hope nobody takes its personal but you have to communicate well and be fair," said Richt. "It may not be what they want to hear, but you have to shoot straight." Saturday's contest between Georgia and Florida will be televised nationally by CBS and kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET. |
