ATHENS - Sunday news and notes before Georgia's game with Florida.

The offensive line had its second sub-par performance four games, and that was a big reason the Bulldogs rushed for just 52 yards on 30 carries, Coach Mark Richt said. “This game was disappointing, and Mississippi State was not real sporty as I remember,” Richt said. The tailbacks also share some of the blame, he said. “When we got space, we didn’t have a back make anybody miss or really break a tackle,” he said. Arkansas’ defense also played a part with its aggressive scheme. “They were definitely crowding the box and blitzing and twisting,” Richt said. “It was nasty in there.” ... The Bulldogs will have to consider playing true freshmen Joe Cox, a quarterback, and Kade Weston, a defensive tackle, but the possiblity remains remote. “We’ll rep them, and, if enough things happen ealry, those guys could possibly get in the game,” Richt said.

Quotable: “He just looked smooth and he looked comfortable. I was really getting excited, and sure enough, he got hurt.” Coach Mark Richt about D.J. Shockley’s precise play early in the Arkansas game and Shockley’s subsequent injury.

Injuries: Defensive tackle Gerald Anderson (concussion) and middle linebacker Tony Taylor (elbow) are expected back for the Florida game. Taylor will be back in practice Monday and could return to his starting job at middle linebacker, which would be huge for the Bulldogs because strongside linebacker Brandon Miller is now questionable due to an ankle sprain. Defensive tackle Dale Dixson (concussion) and safety CJ Byrd (concussion) also are questionable. Tight end Martrez Milner (shoulder) is probable to return. Quarterback D.J. Shockley (knee) and defensive tackle Kedric Golston (elbow) won’t play this week.

Next: Georgia vs. Florida, Saturday, Alltel Stadium, Jacksonville, Fla., 3:30 p.m., CBS
