Vanderbilt Week: Over/Under

ATHENS – Dean Legge takes a look at the critical numbers in Georgia's matchup with Vanderbilt.

10…

That's how many years in a row that the Bulldogs have beaten Vandy. Georgia's last loss to Vanderbilt came in 1994's Homecoming game. Many think that game was the beginning of the end of Ray Goff's career as head coach. With a win today the Bulldogs will tie their longest winning streak in their games against Vandy.

400 yards…

In that 1994 win over Georgia, the Commodores ran for 415 yards against Georgia. It is the last time Vanderbilt has run for 400 yards or more. It is also the last time the Bulldogs allowed 400 or more yards rushing. The last time Georgia ran for 400 yards or more was in 1990 – against Vandy.

15 points…

That's the most amount of points the Bulldogs have allowed this season (South Carolina).

Six wins…

The last time the Bulldogs started their season with six consecutive wins they ended the season at 13-1 – champions of the SEC and Sugar Bowl.

127 rushing yards…

Vanderbilt rushed for 102 yards against MTSU and 25 against LSU (a 63.5 yards per game average) – Vandy lost both games. In their four previous games Vandy averaged 180 yards rushing per game and won all four games.

100 yards rushing…

Georgia is 4-0 when allowing less than 100 yards rushing. Boise State is the only team that rushed for more than 100 against the Bulldogs (169 yards).

6 punts…

Vandy has not won a game when punting 6ix or more times this season. Georgia has punted six times only once this season – in last week's win over Tennessee.
