Amid a light drizzle to begin the practice, the Bulldogs held a workout similar to Wednesday’s where they walked through assignments and worked on the passing game. Today’s practice also included noise piped in through the stadium’s speakers.
Prior to practice, Georgia head coach Mark Richt announced that sophomore split end A.J. Bryant will not be playing against the Volunteers after suffering a groin injury earlier in the week. Although the injury will keep Bryant out of Saturday’s game, Richt did not anticipate him being lost for an extended period of time.
Richt said after Saturday’s game – the second of three consecutive away from home for the Bulldogs – the team will have a better understanding of its identity as it gets into the heart of its conference schedule.
“It is a defining moment for us,” said Richt. “It is not the defining moment, but we will learn more about ourselves after this game.”
Kickoff Saturday will be at 3:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised nationally by CBS.
