Catching up with Kregg

ATHENS – Kregg Lumpkin spoke with Dean Legge for a short time after one of Georgia's fall practices.

Dean Legge: How do you feel about flying this week?

Kregg Lumpkin: I like flying. I’m not fearful of it.

How do you think this game will be as far as playing on the road is concerned? It’s about half the size of Sanford Stadium.

It will be the first road game. I think its going to be a challenge for us simply because it’s the first road game.

Did you think that you’d get more than three carries last week?

I don’t know.

Why are you the only running back that does not wear the facemask shield? Tyson, Danny and Thomas all have one.

I can’t breathe in those things. I’m already fat – I’m the only fat one, too (laughing).

Did you talk with Drew Williams this week?

I talked to him Sunday morning when I came up here for maintenance rehab. He’s down because he tore his second ACL; he tore his left knee the year before last.
