Coutu Earns Weekly Accolade

ATHENS - University of Georgia redshirt sophomore Brandon Coutu was named one of the Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Award Top Three Stars for the Week on Tuesday by Palm Beach County Sports Commission.

The native of Lawrenceville, Ga., accumulated 14 points on three field goals and five extra points in Georgias 44-7 win over Louisiana-Monroe last Saturday. Brandon Coutu's 58-yard field goal in the fourth quarter tied the record for the third-longest in school history. He is currently sporting a .857 field goal percentage after successfully converting six of seven kicks in 2005.

Kick-off for Saturday's game is slated for 9:12 p.m. ET, and the contest will be televised nationally by espn2.
