“He looked like Bambi right after Bambi was born.” – Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt talking about what offensive tackle Dennis Roland looked like his first season as a Bulldog. Richt admitted during the press conference that neither he nor Roland expected his development to turn out the way that it has.
“Defenses are going to have to pick their poison” – Georgia quarterback D.J. Shockley after being asked about defenses sacking up against the Bulldogs’ offense for the remainder of the season.
“It’s just for bragging rights.” – Sophomore defensive end Charles Johnson on the competition between him and fellow defensive end Quentin Moses. The pair are a part of a defensive line that had four sacks against South Carolina Saturday.
“He’d probably be in a club.” – Richt again, this time talking about linebacker Jarvis Jackson’s hand, which is injured. Richt said that if Jackson returned to play early he would be forced to protect his hand with a club-like cast.
“It’s all in the drop.” – Georgia punter Gordon Ely-Kelso on why he’s been punting so well lately. Ely-Kelso blistered the Gamecocks by punting them inside their own 20-yard line in four of five punts on Saturday.
