Practice Notes: Louisiana-Monroe Tuesday

Posted Sep 13, 2005

ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs, who this week are ranked No. 6 in the USA Today coaches poll and No. 7 by the Associated Press, conducted a two-hour practice in full pads on Tuesday afternoon in Athens to prepare for this Saturday's game against Louisiana-Monroe at Sanford Stadium

"It really was a pretty good day," head coach Mark Richt said. "I don't think they like to practice, but they had a business-like attitude, which shows me something. The scout team worked very hard to give us a good look and did a great job today."

Earlier in the afternoon, Richt took part in the Bulldogs' weekly press session and discussed this Saturday's game at length.

³Louisiana-Monroe is a game that¹s very important to us," Richt said. They have a team with very good skill people. ŠWe motivate by working hard in practice and competing for jobs. We know every game is precious. Our guys work too hard not to play hard in any game. I would be disappointed if we didn¹t.²

The Louisiana-Monroe contest is slated for begin at 1:00 p.m. ET.
