Jackson Scheduled for Thumb Surgery

ATHENS - University of Georgia junior linebacker Jarvis Jackson of Atlanta sustained a right thumb injury Saturday during the Georgia-South Carolina game which will require surgery.

The surgery will be performed Tuesday (Sept. 13) at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. Jarvis Jackson is expected to make a full recovery and will be able to return to play with a protective cast in 3-4 weeks.
