Minter working on grabbing INTs

ATHENS – DeMario Minter spoke with Dean Legge for a short time after one of Georgia's fall practices.

Dean Legge: How was camp?

Demario Minter: It was good. I came into camp with my mind focused on the particular things I wanted to do, and I am still working on them. I can’t say that I’m all the way there yet, but I am working on it.

What things?

Always my technique – making more plays with the ball in the air like interceptions, and batting down the ball; just knowing more about the offense so I can play better defense.

What does Boise State bring to the table that may be a little bit intimidating?

A team that’s 40-something and six or seven over the last couple of years – that’s intimidating right there. The fact that they’ve averaged 40 points a game – tops in the respect for what they have done. They have players that are well coached.

How about the secondary so far this season?

I think we are doing well. The second team is stepping up. Paul Oliver and Thomas Flowers are stepping up. Paul has become a lot faster. Flowers had a good camp, not just returns, but his corner play, too. He’s overall gotten better since the spring.
