The Bulldogs enjoyed an up-tempo session in temperatures in the low 80s.
"We had a very good day today," head coach Mark Richt said. "I'm sure the weather had something to do with it. I always say that, but you usually have a little better practice when the heat is not turned up quite as high and the humidity is not quite as high. We had a breeze and cloud cover.
"It was really good work," Richt continued. "We concentrated on fundamentals and working against each other in passing drills, followed by break. We had about a half an hour of scout work, which we desperately needed, and then we finished up against each other. We had solid tempo all around, and I was pleased with the hole team."
The Bulldogs will open their 2005 campaign next Saturday when they host Boise State, which has been ranked No. 18 and No. 19 in the AP and USA Today polls, respectively.
