ATHENS – Josh Brock spoke with Dean Legge for a short time after one of Georgia's fall practices.

Dean Legge: Can you talk about the concussion and how that’s affecting you?

Josh Brock: It’s more frustrating than anything because you can’t do anything about it. I just have to sit around and rest. It’s been tough, but it happens – football is a contact sport. I’ll be all right. I had an appointment yesterday with a neurologist, and she said everything is going to be fine, but that it just takes time, and that I have to be patient.

Do you think that it will be difficult physically to keep up when you get back because of missing time?

The first few days are always bad because I’ve have missed a lot of work, which keeps you in shape. Football shape is a difference shape than anything else you do. You can’t really run to get in shape for football – you have to be there in practice to be in shape with football. It’s going to be tough, but I think I’ll be able to get back into the swing of things soon. I’ve only missed a week, but a week is a pretty substantial amount of time considering the amount of practices we have had.

What is your mindset for this season? A lot of people are downplaying y’all’s chances of winning the SEC.

As a team, we really don’t look at what people say. The people that say we can’t do it, we just say – you can’t look at that. We have to focus on what we have to do, and get out here and work every day. If we do those things, we feel like we have a good shot of winning the SEC and even more so the national championship. We feel like we have the talent to do it; we just have to get out there and play together
