Posted Aug 18, 2005

ATHENS - Georgia will not hold regular football practice today (Thursday) and will instead head coach Mark Richt will allow the players to concentrate on getting organized on the first day of classes which begin today.

"This will be a good day for players to have extra time to finalize their class schedules and get organized for the beginning of the semester," said Richt. "We have not missed a day of practice yet for weather or other reasons so it's not a concern at all in terms of preparation and staying on schedule."

Georgia will resume practice Friday with a special teams practice in the afternoon. Media interviews will also resume following the Friday practice.
