2005 Fall Camp: Day 9 - What he said

ATHENS – What the Bulldogs said after their ninth day of practice.

“He’s a good teacher, and he spends a lot of time with me.” – Defensive end Marcus Howard on his position coach Jon Fabris. Howard switched from linebacker to defensive end during the spring.

“That has been our number one thing – we have really stressed interceptions this fall. You can’t play defense if you don’t get turnovers.” – Defensive Coordinator Willie Martinez on the Bulldogs’ goal to increase their amount of interceptions for the 2005 season. Georgia was ranked near the bottom of the SEC in total interceptions in 2004.

“Sluggish.” – Martinez again, this time describing the Bulldogs’ performance during the team’s morning practice session.
