Green suspended one game

ATHENS - University of Georgia redshirt sophomore walk-on fullback Chase Green has been handed a one-game suspension by Bulldog head coach Mark Richt for being charged with underage possession of alcohol over the weekend.

Richt said Chase Green would not play in the season-opener against Boise State and would also be required to perform community service, enroll in an alcohol-related education course, and be assigned additional internal discipline.

"Certainly I'm disappointed this happened," said Richt. "Chase made a mistake and will have to pay a price. I'm confident it will also be a lesson learned."
