Pope Named to John Mackey Award Watch List

ATHENS - Georgia tight end Leonard Pope was named to the 2005 John Mackey Award Watch List this week by the Nassau County Sports Commission.

Leonard Pope, a 6-7, 250-pound junior from Americus, Ga., earned All-SEC first team honors in 2004 after hauling in 25 passes for 482 yards and six touchdowns.

The John Mackey Award recipient is selected by vote of a selection committee and announced in mid-December.
