Golston suspended one game, White two

ATHENS – Two Georgia Bulldogs arrested after the team's annual G-Day game will be suspended a total of three games.

Kedric Golston will serve a one-game suspension while Derrick White will serve a two-game suspension stemming from their arrests on April 10, 2005 according to sources close to the Athletic Association.

Golston was arrested on charges of simple battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and obstruction before being released on $9,000 bond. White was charged only with disorderly conduct. All the charges involved were misdemeanors.

The incident occurred at the Classic City Saloon around 2 a.m. in the morning – mere hours after the Bulldogs concluded their spring drills.

"I'm not pleased about what happened," Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt told Dawg Post Contributor Josh Kendall last Friday, "but until I have a real good feel for what I want to do, there's no sense rushing (a decision)."

Both Golston and White will miss the Bulldogs' opening game with Boise State. White will also miss Georgia's SEC opener with South Carolina.
