Brown and Gibson set for 2005 Draft

ATHENS – Reggie Brown never cut as wide a path through Athens as Fred Gibson did. Gibson caught more passes, gained more yards, scored more touchdowns and certainly got more attention than Brown thanks to his outgoing personality and flashes of brilliant talent.

But, with the NFL Draft just a week away, Reggie Brown, 6-foot-2, 196 pounds, appears to have raced past a stalling Fred Gibson in the eyes of NFL scouts and has put himself in position to be selected as high as late in the first round.
