Thurman, a junior from Monticello, has been with the team for two seasons.

ESPN is reporting Georgia linebacker Odell Thurman is leaving Athens in favor of the NFL Draft. Thurman, a junior from Monticello, has been with the team for two seasons. ESPN’s report noted that Thurman wanted to stay in school, but that providing for his family outweighed the benefits of staying.

Thurman is the second Bulldog to declare for the NFL Draft. Safety Thomas Davis will also declare for the draft. Offensive guard Max Jean-Gilles is expected to make a decision on his status in the next few days. The deadline to declare for the NFL Draft is January 15.
