TAMPA – Georgia continued its preparations for the 2005 Outback Bowl at South Florida’s practice facilities.

The Bulldogs spent last night at Tampa’s Busch Gardens and will go to Clearwater Beach this afternoon.

“Today we are going to the beach. I don’t know how many guys will be brave enough to go body surfing. I don’t think I will be wearing a swimsuit anytime soon,” joked Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt. “I want our team to enjoy the bowl game experience.”

On the practice front, the Bulldogs continue to prepare for their match-up with Wisconsin. Joe Tereshinski and Jordan Wolf are both still snapping the ball on special teams

“They are both snapping well,” said Richt. “They will get extra work today in between drills.” Brian Jordan seems certain to miss Saturday’s game. He was at practice but watched from the sideline on crutches. Trehern Holden will not play in the game, either.

Danny Ware continues to work with a cast on his right hand. He made some nice catches during the morning session.

“I don’t think he has put the ball on the ground at all while we have been here; having the cast on may be helping him. To know that you can’t switch the ball from one hand to the other might be good. His dominate hand is his right hand, but he had put it in his left hand and he seems to be ready to go,” said Richt.

Richt added that David Greene, who suffered a thumb injury during the Bulldogs’ contest with Georgia Tech, is fully ready for the game with Wisconsin.
