Antavious Coates of Greenwood, South Carolina tore his ACL around a month ago and has gone through some re-hab. He has now gone through surgery to repair the damage. What is next for Coates and when does he expect to be back in action?
"I had the surgery on Friday and it went really well," said
Antavious Coates
.
What is next for Antavious Coates in his recovery?
"I'll need to keep off my left leg for a couple weeks, so I will be on crutches for a little while. After that, I will get back into re-hab and get it back to where it needs to be. I will work on getting the strength and flexibility back."
"I am projected to be back to full strength by late spring of 2005."
While working through this injury, Coates also has decisions to make in recruiting.
"I still have not set any visits up with any teams other than
Georgia
(January 14th), but I look to do that soon. I will probably take visits to
Virginia Tech
,
Clemson
,
South Carolina
and maybe
Tennessee
."
How firm is Coates to Georgia right now?
"I am very solid to Georgia, but I just want to take a few more visits to make sure I don't miss anything. I just want to make sure I am making the right decision."
Scout.com will keep you up to date on the South Carolina prospect all the way through signing day 2005.
