“It must have been 20 degrees out there,” said Mark Richt of the day’s practice.
The Bulldogs will hold their annual G-Day game on Saturday at Sanford Stadium at 2 pm. But the big news of the day is chilling for most Georgia fans.
Jeremy Thomas, the starting fullback, is suspended for the first two games of the season.
“He won’t play in the first two games of the year,” Richt said. “I am not sure if he will play in the G-Day game. The two game suspension is firm. He is a good guy but he made a mistake.”
Richt said that Thomas’ suspension means that Des Williams will move to the number one running back those games. Richt also added that 2004 signee Brannon Sutherland will likely be the back up in those two games.
