Dawg Post Top 25: #25 Marshall Morgan
25. Marshall Morgan, PK 101: The reality is that Marshall Morgan probably should be higher on this list. He's got one of, if not the most powerful legs in the country, and he's matured into a dependable point scorer. But it is difficult to justify putting player who only enters the field on occasion higher on a top 25 list. But Morgan is a very good kicker. He's come a long way in two years, and he has to be considered one of the strengths of the Bulldogs in 2014. Days Gone By: Morgan had a difficult start of college. His point after attempts and field goals were adventures in September of 2012. But he settled down and figured things out. Like the rest of the Bulldogs that season he got on a roll and ended the year with a very god scoring pace. Morgan picked Georgia over pretty much everyone else in the country. Legge's Thoughts: If you are going to win a championship more often than not your kicker is going to have to get you out of a jam at some point in the season. Morgan has kicked very well against Tennessee for some reason – and in 2013 he missed only one kick from longer than 40 yards. Actually he only missed two kicks the entire season. His mammoth kicks against Missouri in 2012 (52 yards) and Tennessee in 2013 (56 yards and a game-winner from 42) show just how good he is. Morgan is an asset. 25. Marshall Morgan, PK
