Also, Bulldog asst. coach Scott Daeley played at Wake Forest in the late 1990s when Moranda was an assistant coach there. Buffalo, coached by Ron Torgalski, is batting .291 with a 1.71 ERA. Bulldog Notables Georgia's starting rotation for the tournament will be sophomore LHP Ryan Lawlor (1-1, 4.80), junior LHP Jared Walsh (0-0, 0.00) and senior LHP Patrick Boling (1-1, 2.63).

Juniors Hunter Cole (.367-1-8) and Nelson Ward (.255-1-9) are the only two Bulldogs to reach base safely in all 13 games this season. Both have made starts at two different positions this year. Cole has started eight games in left field and five at third base while Ward has started 11 games at shortstop and two at second base. Ward will be at shortstop this weekend after freshman Mike Bell (.400-0-1) tweaked a hamstring in the Binghamton series.

Freshman Stephen Wrenn (.306-0-5) and junior Conor Welton (.313-0-5) have reached base safely in the last 12 games. They have been perfect in the outfield, starting all 13 games this year. Wrenn notched his first career assist in the Binghamton series when he threw out a runner at home. Last Wednesday, he made arguably the best catch in CF in the last few years, the highlight is on YouTube. He made his debut in CF in the season opener and batted leadoff against Ga. Southern. Welton is batting a team-best .444 (8-18, 4 RBI) during the current five-game winning streak while Zack Bowers is at .438 (7-16, 5 RBI). Georgia collected its first two triples of the year in the win over Charleston Southern, and they were career firsts for Welton and Wrenn.
