The Bulldogs (6-4, 4-3 SEC) play host to the Wildcats (2-8, 0-6 SEC) Saturday in the final home game of the 2013 season. After practice, Georgia
coach Mark Richt
was asked about the 28-member Bulldog senior class that will be honored prior to the game.
"They are an unselfish bunch that really cares about the team," Richt said. "They went through some ups and downs, and they have handled everything with class."
The Georgia senior class enters the Kentucky
game with a 34-17 record and 15 of those contests have been decided by five points or less including six this year.
"Every game we've played this year has been exciting and not many fans have left early," Richt said.
He added that life teaches lessons for anyone arriving on campus at 18 and through their early 20s.
"We try to teach our guys to be responsible, accountable, dependable, honest, loyal and hard-working," Richt said.
Georgia leads the all-time series with the Wildcats 52-12-2, and the Bulldogs have a three-game winning streak over Kentucky. Last year, Georgia claimed a 29-24 thriller in Lexington as Aaron Murray set a school record by completing 79 percent of his passes (30-of-38) for a then career-high 427 yards and four touchdowns.
ESPNU will broadcast the Georgia-Kentucky contest with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.
