Miller visits UGA, will return
Once Christian Miller opened his recruitment back up late in May, Georgia quickly offered this former Florida commitment a scholarship. Miller has had interest in UGA from the beginning and he saw Athens for the first time Thursday. "It was my first time visiting Georgia and they definitely had everything I thought they would," Miller told Scout. "I had looked at the internet and saw pictures, and everything was very nice like I expected. The facilities are extraordinary, the design is great, I love their showroom with the trophies in it, and it was all great. I liked everything about it today." The Dawgs have made the 6-foot-3, 215 pound linebacker a priority in the 2014 class and the coaches showed him that today. "I met all the coaches that were there and they were all very genuine, great guys, and it was easy to see that they care about their guys. "Coach [Mark] Richt is a very honest person and he is very up front - I like that a lot. He was not trying to push me to Georgia, but he laid what Georgia was all about out there for me and told me that he would love to have me if Georgia was for him. I really like that approach. "I got to see what it was all about over there and I liked it a lot." Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham was not on campus today, but Kirk Olivadotti, UGA's Inside Linebackers coach was. Miller is great coming off the edge. Coach O showed Miller how the Dawgs would use him. "Coach O really took over today and he really knows the defense. He showed me the different packages they run, how I could play their WILL or SAM position, and how they moved Jarvis Jones around those last year. "It was good to see because I think I could fit into that scheme perfectly. I would be used as a pass rusher a lot and do a lot of the same things I do in high school now. I like their style of defense." Not only does the No. 5 outside linebacker in the country like Georgia's defense, he likes their overall program. "I definitely see myself getting back down there," Miller said. "I really enjoyed it down there a lot. I got to be around the coaches, see the campus, hang out with my good friend Jeb Blazevich (2014 Georgia commitment who was also visiting today), and it was what I was anticipating. "I really liked the visit, I liked the people, and I think Georgia is a perfect fit for me in many ways. I will see it again." Miller currently has no favorites and he is now focused on leaving for Oregon to compete at The Opening next week. He will then visit Alabama in July. Scout ranks Miller as the No. 97 prospect in the country. Chad Simmons is currently a National Recruiting Analyst for FOX Sports/Scout. He started with Scout in 2003 and then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become South Recruiting Manager.
