JUCO defensive lineman Toby Johnson, who picked the Bulldogs after Signing Day, will enroll at Georgia in June.
“I was just really excited about it,” he said by phone Monday. “I kind of figured that I would get in. I knew that my grade was going to have the grades get in today, so I figured it would come out today.”
Johnson injured his ACL in the fall, but said that he will enroll at Georgia only thinking of playing this fall.
“I will be up there in June,” he said. “I'm going to play in the fall. I am going to be good to go. By the time I get up there I should be good to go. Coach Wilson any everyone has been expecting me to play. I have been expecting to play as well. I would only redshirt if something goes wrong.”
