Report: Kelly, Eagles Eye Grantham
Todd Grantham
Posted Jan 16, 2013

Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham is being linked to the same job in the NFL.

A report on citing "a league source" says new Eagles coach Chip Kelly is attempting to "convince" Grantham to take the defensive coordinator job for the NFL franchise.

Grantham, who is entering his fourth off-season in Athens, is expected to be on the road recruiting in the coming days. He did not immediately return phone calls regarding the report.

Georgia has Grantham under a contract that doesn't expire until January 31, 2015. But the former Browns defensive coordinator may leave Athens without a buyout should he depart to be a defensive coordinator in the NFL or to be a head coach in college or the NFL.

The news comes at a critical time in the recruiting calendar for the Bulldogs. Georgia is only weeks away form Signing Day on February 6th.
