The Tampa native, less than a week removed from guiding Georgia to a 12-2 season, announced on Twitter that he would come back to Athens.
"Blessed to be the QB for the Dawgs, not ready to leave just yet. Time to get back to work & help lead this team to a championship"
A championship, either an SEC or BCS one, is the only thing that has eluded the soon-to-be-four-year starter under center. He's been at the forefront of a program turnaround that started with a rocky 6-7 campaign in 2010.
The news of Murray's return spread quickly. In less than 15 minutes Murray's tweet was retweeted more than 3,200 times.
Georgia will return to the football field later this spring. They open the 2013 season on the road at Clemson on August 31st.
