Simon is pretty good. Simon with Garfunkle is exceptional. In 2009, Mark Ingram won the Heisman Trophy as he led Alabama to a 14-0 record and the national championship. He also set a Crimson Tide single season rushing record with 271 carries for 1,658 yards.

And Mark Ingram had help. Trent Richardson was a freshman, but an exceptional freshman who moved up as Ingram's back-up and produced spectacular results. His 52-yard run against Arkansas, in which he broke five tackles and then out-ran a defensive back to the end zone, is still a staple of Bama highlights.
