What were the expectations heading into Georgia's season? Were those expectations met?

"[The expectations were] to play for the SEC Championship and beyond. Georgia came up four yard short on the second part, but won the SEC East for the second year in a row."

Alabama recorded a 32-28 win over Georgia in the SEC Championship on December 1st. The winner expected to see a BCS National Championship berth.

What one player stands out as the Dawgs' key factor to success this season?

"Jarvis Jones was a defensive catalyst for the Bulldogs. When he was healthy, Georgia's defense was close to unstoppable. Jones was a finalist for several national awards."

Linebacker Jarvis Jones finished the 2012 season with 78 total tackles, including 48 solo and 30 assisted. Jones also notched 13 sacks and an interception.

When did the momentum shift for UGA this season?

"When Shawn Williams called his defensive teammates out the Monday night before the Florida game. From that point forward, Georgia was a different team."

Safety Shawn Williams ripped his defense in front of reporters in October, saying Georgia was "playing too soft" and without "the same attitude as last year." The senior captain was hailed for the rant that immediately led to a defensive turnaround, including a crucial 17-9 win over Florida that Saturday.

How has this season affected recruiting in the class of 2013?

"Not much. Georgia had a ton of kids committed to it before the season. They will wait on the final six or so after the new year."

Georgia currently boasts 30 verbal commitments in the class of 2013, including 13 four-star athletes.
